GOTHA CARPENTRY & CONSTRUCTION

Gotha is a boutique Canberra carpentry and construction company specialising in commercial and residential projects including retail, hospitality, home and outdoor spaces. With many years of experience in the construction industry, Nigel Howard wanted his brand and website to showcase the artisan nature of his work. He loved the idea of a Russian Constructivist style for his brand, and it was fun working with 1920s fonts and the bright colours of the Russian flag to create logo, icons and even a PRCC symbol (People’s Republic of Carpentry & Construction)!

I organised photography of his recent projects, including the wonderful renovation of Poachers Pantry, a café, cellar, smokehouse and farm in the Canberra region. The imagery focuses on the attention to detail that Nigel and his team have a reputation for. It was then a case of combining the new logo with the imagery to create a portfolio website that illustrates both the hard work and refined results that Gotha is known for.
