Co.LAB A COLLECTIVE

Naomi Dootson, owner of Appleye Jewellery, also has a beautiful homewares, gifts, fashion and lifestyle shop in Berry, NSW, called Co.LAB. A treasure trove of beautiful local artisan products, it is also home to her Appleye workshop space. The shop is a collaboration, a place where people can connect with a community of local, ethical and handmade makers, to happily while away time browsing the collection and chatting to the friendly staff.

After The Rain has been lucky enough to brand Co.LAB a Collective. Naomi wanted the brand to be appropriate to its Australian coastal location and reflect the handmade local designs. The logo includes three pine trees to mirror the forests around Berry, combined with rustic lettering to reflect the artisan style of the business. These elements have been applied to a variety of devices from icons to taglines.

The interior of the store is a combination of gold, green and natural wood with beautiful stained glass. To complete the brand, I selected a palette of colours that complements the shop and Naomi’s photography. The resulting website design is warm and inviting, just like the shop.
